News from October 2008
October 29. Team DYNAMO's (Team USA) placed 12th all-around at the SAMBO World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from Oct. 9-13. Individually, our team members won:
in their weight categories.
This (individual and team placements) was an impressive showing, considering 35 countries participated in this tournament, and they all had larger teams.
List of countries competed: USA, UZBEKISTAN, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, BELARUS, ARMENIA, AZERBAIJAN, BULGARIA, GREAT BRITAIN, VENESUELA, GEORGIA, INDIA, INDONESIA, JORDAN, IRAN, YEMEN, KAZAKHSTAN, KIRGIZSTAN, LATVIA, LEBANON, LITHUANIA, MOLDOVA, , MONGOLIA, NEPAL, PAKISTAN, ROMANIA, SINGAPORE, SYRIA, TAJIKISTAN. THAILAND, TURKMENISTAN, PHILIPPINES, CZECH REPUBLIC, ESTONIA AND JAPAN.
The 3.8 hours of the event was broadcasted to over 15 million people, and 132 countries through Internet and "Voice of Russia" channels. We will post links to these footage once we find them.

October 7. Coach Brezhneve led the USA SAMBO Team to Tashkent, Uzbekistan today. Competitions are starting on the 9th, and we look forward to some great results. Photos from recent practices.
